The end of a series of tests that were quite long, finally arrived
the time we were waiting for, yes me and my friend Kandi as representatives of
Yogyakarta PGRI University. Okay, we start from introducing my self, my name is Ria Widyaswati,
you can call me Ria. I am a Primary Teacher
Education (PGSD)
student at Yogyakarta PGRI University, I am not a smart student especially who
likes to spend the day on campus with various campus activities. YAASHH, but I thought I
had a good fortune, proven by being chosen as one of the SEA Teacher
Batch 6 participants, Alhamudulillah, hehehe. It all started at
August 8 2018, when the time showed 2:00 a.m. most
people were still late in their dreams but not
descended for me at that time. I hurriedly showered and prepared a suitcase
and others. Hahaha luckily I have a partner who is always standby, at 3 o'clock he was already
in front of the boarding house and I immediately go down.
Because this is a long journey so I decided
to stop by KFC first, anyone knows why? Yaps, as boarding house people in
general we always avoid eating at the airport which is quite expensive for our
bags. Long story short, I arrived at Adisucipto International Airport and met
Kandi. Like an ordinary Indonesian flight if there is no delay it is not
Indonesian, so after waiting for an hour or so we finally made a flight to
Jakarta. There were other SEA Teacher participants who had arrived
first. WHOOOOH felt so mingled, happy, sad and touched, this was the first time
I go abroad without being accompanied by my parents. Could got to know new
friends and lots of new experiences, of course. at
10 am at SoekarnoHatta International Airport we entered gate 3, it turned out we
were all the first time to make an automatic foreign flight, all of us getting confused
because we know Soekarno Hatta International Airport is a very large airport.
Long story short after asking many officers
finally to save time, we checked in separately, I was with Kandi, Anisa was
with Hesta and Faisal with Uun. We had to travel a long time around 4 hours
with strangers around, because I also forgot to request a seat, it was really
sad. At 6pm we arrived in the city we were waiting for, a big smile from Mr.
Vincent has welcomed us in the front by lifting a paper that says SEA Teacher.
The feeling of fatigue was immediately lost to be greeted by his hospitality.
Mr. Vincent directed us to buy Philippine SimCard
at the airport, we negotiated very long, only for a simcard which in the end
none of us bought because the price offered was quite expensive. Finally, with this hungry face guiding us and Mr.
Vincent looks for food for dinner. It is very difficult for Muslims to forage in
the city of Manila. Remember friend, it's hard not to mean that there's nothing
for us
Muslims, hehehe. It was a relief after going up and down the airport finally we
arrived at a restaurant that sells non pork food, aka halal. The city of Manila
also welcomed us with the delicious Ramen. And thanks for Mr. Vincent, who
treated us to dinner.
When the stomach is full, the heart feels happy, that's how
Indonesians do. We continue to the dormitory, using a car. We arrived in Manila
too late (so sad) so we can't stop by other places. All I could see was the
lights and raindrops. I decided to take an hour's sleep. It didn't feel like it had arrived,
the dorm was quite high because we had to carry our luggage to the 4th floor,
it was really high and very tiring, fortunately there was someone who helped us
carry things. Our dorm was quite spacious for 3 people inside, because the
mattress was two stories high and I was afraid of heights. I decided to just
get down the mattress under the floor and always sleep on the floor with a
mattress whwheheh. After cleaning the body, we immediately rested because the
next day there was a series of activities that my friends and I had to follow.
GOOD
NIGHT MANILA
